Heartbroken David Baddiel announces father Colin has passed away and says ‘he left a huge hole in my sky’

DAVID Baddiel announced tonight that his father Colin has passed away.
The comedian and author, 57, shared the sad news on Instagram along with a photo of his father in his youth with his three sons – David, Ivor and Dan.
He wrote: “My father Colin Baddiel passed away earlier tonight. Thank you to all of you who have sent incredibly lovely messages about him in response to all of my posts over the years. He left a big hole in my sky.”
Dedications flooded in from friends and celebrity followers.

Colin has spent years battling a rare form of dementia known as Pick’s Disease, which affects the parts of the brain that control emotions, behaviour, personality and language.
In a 2017 Channel 4 documentary called The Trouble with Dad, David revealed how he stopped his children Dolly and Ezra, then 15 and 12 years old, from visiting him because of inappropriate comments. your suit.

Three Lions singer David’s mother Sarah passed away in 2014. He performed regularly in Stand Up To Cancer in memory of her passing, turning his grief into a comedy.
He said last year: “When I did my show about my mother, a lot of the things people don’t usually say about a recently deceased parent, mainly her sex life.
“Both of my brothers asked me if I had to do it and I said, ‘You’re going to have to trust me that this comes from a love affair.”
