Ana Kriegel, 14, was killed in May 2018 when she was lured into an abandoned house and sexually assaulted before being beaten to death by Ireland’s youngest-ever killers

The father of schoolgirl Ana Kriegel, who was brutally murdered by two Satan-possessed boys, has died.

Ana’s father, Patrick Kriegel, formerly of Paris, died at home in Leixlip, Co Kildare on Sunday (19 June). Dublin live reports.

14-year-old Ana was killed in May 2018 by two then 13-year-old boys who lured her to an abandoned house on the outskirts of Dublin.

The pair became the youngest murderers ever convicted in Ireland after Ana’s body was discovered with a ligature around her neck.

The ailing couple had been watching “satanic” material before getting Ana to meet them because they believed she was going to meet a boy she liked.

The young woman was relentlessly bullied and was keen to make friends, often posting videos of herself dancing.

But by the time her mother realized she was missing 45 minutes later and went looking for her, she was already dead.

One boy sexually assaulted Ana while the other looked on, inflicting so many injuries on her that she was discovered with 50 wounds to her head and body.

She was discovered three days later in the abandoned house in Luncan, Dublin, after dying from blunt force trauma to the head.

During a lengthy trial, jurors heard that police had found a book with a “Satanic Promise” in one of the boy’s homes.

It refers to a “satanic cult” and has a number of “cult rules,” the court heard.

Evidence was also shown to the jury, including Ana’s blood-stained clothing, underwear and a long wooden stick and block of concrete, which were removed from the crime scene.

After the verdict was announced, Ana’s parents Patrick and Geraldine Kriegel and their friends hugged and cried in the courtroom.

Her father’s funeral service will now be held at 2pm on Thursday 23 June at Newlands Cross Crematorium.

An obituary on RIP.ie reads: “Patrick Kriegel, Leixlip Co Kildare and formerly of Paris, France, at home (peacefully) on 12 June. Beloved husband of Geraldine and dear father of the late Anastasia (Ana).

“Sadly missed by his loving wife Aaron, Bruno, Nathalie, Phillippe and all his loving family and friends.”
