Helen Flanagan is providing fans with an update on her baby son

Helen Flanagan shared a candid post about parenting struggles as she told fans she’s quit breastfeeding.

The former Corrie star, 31, took to her Instagram over the weekend and told her followers she’s had a “challenging” few weeks.

Helen – the mother of Matilda, six, Delilah, three, and Charlie, one, with her fiancé Scott Sinclair – told other moms she’s made a number of decisions to make life easier.

She announced that she would stop breastfeeding and plan to seek childcare for the first time.

The star wrote: “I’ve decided to stop feeding. I’ve really enjoyed breastfeeding Charlie, but in the last month I’ve just had enough.

“Today was the first day I try to gradually wean him (he overeats) throughout the day.

“I love being a mom and I’m so thankful for my babies, but I was just feeling so drained so I made some changes.”

Helen continued: “I’ve found the last few weeks with motherhood quite challenging. I think it’s pretty good to be honest when we see such perfect images of motherhood on social media.

“I’ve never had childcare for Charlie, but I decided to get a week. To help him eat more and get rid of the boobs. It’s just different stages and they will pass.”

Helen recently revealed that all three of her children had contracted scarlet fever.

The TV star sought advice from fans after noticing that her son Charlie “was refusing to eat”.

Helen took to Instagram to share her concerns after all three children contracted the nasty infection.

Alongside a photo of her daughter Delilah sound asleep on the sofa, Helen wrote: “All children have scarlet fever. Glad to know what it is, since Delilah wasn’t herself, and the medicine to treat it.”

Helen was recently enjoying quality time with Charlie and her fiancé Scott in Dubai late last month after expressing concern at her son not eating.

She recently wrote: “Charlie just won’t eat, I’ll be taking him to a specialist this week.

“He’s not eating and I still feed him like he’s six months old.

“I’ve tried not feeding him milk so he eats more, but he’s just not interested in food and he just wants the boobs.”

The family stayed in luxury accommodation at the five-star Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa on a sandy beach in Dubai.

Celebrating Scott’s 33rd birthday and his baby son Charlie, who turned one, the family had a lovely holiday together.
