Henfield man charged with attempted murder by Sussex Police

Lee Tidy, 23, of North Mead in Henfield, was arrested after two men were reportedly attacked.

Two men were taken to hospital with serious injuries after the incident on Henfield Common South around 11.25pm ​​on Saturday 4 February.

Tidy is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault with intent, aggravated burglary and possession of cannabis.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Lewes Crown Court for a preliminary hearing today.

A heavy police presence was seen around a house late last week.

Sussex Police Chief Inspector Jim Collen previously said: “We understand that incidents like this are of public concern, but this appears to be an isolated incident with no major risk of harm.

“We have one person in custody and a full investigation is underway to determine exactly what happened.”

Sussex Police said they were not looking for anyone in connection with the incident.
