Carry out the legendary campaign
There are two levels for the new Campaign; regular and legendary. Regular fast runs will upgrade your power to 1500, but running through Legends will upgrade to 1520 and give you some Exotics that reward your Class (and some other valuable Upgrade materials) simultaneous . Sure, it’s an added challenge, but it’s definitely doable once you’ve passed it once – and the rewards are definitely worth it.
The newest weapon in Destiny 2 is the Glaive, a long-range and melee hybrid that is devastating in both PvP and PvE. You get it in the Campaign, and it even lets you block impending damage if you time it well. Unlock early, put to good use, and you may never touch swords again.
Get New Exotics
Of course, it wouldn’t be a new Destiny expansion without tons of Exotics to unlock, would it? Whether you’re shooting deadly from a gun, looking for an Exotic Hunter that gives you immunity bubbles, or just want to unlock the Ridiculously Sweet Business, there’s a lot to do in Witch Queen when it comes to weapons hunting and rare equipment – and that should be one of your main goals once you’ve completed the Campaign.
Get the Grand Overture catalyst quest
If you already have the Season Pass, you’ll be able to unlock the Grand Overture – a slug machine gun – as soon as you enter the new expansion. Head straight to Banshee-44 and talk to the weapons supplier to unlock the Catalyst quest so you can get right to powering this impressive new weapon. You’ll probably want it to work best if you’re in the Legendary Campaign, after all.
Visit Enclave, craft your gun
One of the big new things on sale in Witch Queen is weapon crafting – it can seem a bit complicated at first glance, but experimenting with different perks to add to your weapon will make it less of a struggle. / max your crafting in the future . So as you level up your weapon, you have more control over how it handles and equips it for your build. You’ll unlock more crafting options as you play, so check back often and don’t forget to improve your stuff!
Upgrade your gun
Using a gun allows you to increase your level and that will allow you to do more interesting things with your gun. So if you have some nice Legendary (read; purple) gear in your inventory, make sure you’re rotating it regularly so you can take it to the Enclave and craft it when it’s leveled up. . Even imperfect gun drops are worth using so you can unlock their perks and transfer them to other guns. Everything you do makes progress, cheer on Bungie!
Run PsiOps: Battlegrounds
These new Seasonal Activities are really fun and offer some great bonuses to get started! Plus, the whole concept behind them – getting into the boss Hive’s mind and removing an aspect of Savathun lurking in there – is some pretty cool stuff that delves into Destiny lore. Come for great set-ups, stay for impressive loot! Don’t like what?
