Here’s what to expect in Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone Season 2

As you know, Call of Duty: Vanguard and Battlefield Part 2 will develop on what is considered The most romantic day of the yearAnd to help you with that, Sledgehammer Games has provided information on what could happen during the season.

The latest installment of free and additional in-game content will have its first full day of action on February 14, following updates to Vanguard and Warzone. These updates will be available to download at 9am PT / 12pm ET / 5pm UK on February 10 for Vanguard and concurrently on February 14 for Vanguard. Warzone – then both updates will appear online. Once both updates are downloaded, you can enjoy a Double XP chance on both games to celebrate the launch of this new season.

Now, with that said, here’s what to expect during the season.

With Vanguard, Ranked play is coming to multiplayer along with two new multiplayer maps. These mid-sized maps are Casablanca and Gondola. You can also expect free Perks, Killstreaks, and Gear in the Battle Pass.

The Casablanca map is a moderately sized three-lane style map set in a busy Moroccan market. It has a number of buildings to explore and climb, and features a series of vertical skirmishes that “invite a variety of close-to-long-range tactics.”

Gondola, another medium sized three lane style map, takes you above a large pit and fire watchtower. Here, the Operator can take advantage of the foresight the route provides, or traverse power plants and caves for more melee combat.

With the Battle Pass, you can expect the Ball Turret Gunner to be activated for 12 Killstreaks. A new Deadly Device weapon is also introduced: Stick Bombs. Familiar to longtime players, the Sticky Bomb is “a direct rival to the Frag Grenade and Gammon Bomb,” as a throwable explosive device.

New perks coming soon are Armory and Mechanic. A direct perk for Engineers, Armory for Operators enjoys swapping weapons like Demolition Charges and concussion mines. Mechanic offers an advantage to the Field Upgrades charging time, making it a “must have” for completing the challenges associated with them or for Operators who enjoy using them.

You can also expect with Season 2 an Arms Race with Armored War Machines like Motorcycles, Rangers Transporters and Tanks. This and other features is expected to launch in Season Two, so stay tuned for the First Patch Notes next week.

There’s a big update coming Zombie also. The onslaught of the undead is heating up in Egypt’s Eastern Desert, where the portal to the Dark Aether opens along with other new arenas. There will be a new Artifact that gives you the power to conquer the Deceiver, Vercanna the Last joins the fray and will heal wounds using the Healing Aura, there will be Wonder Weapons to aid the new Objective and Story Quest, and You can use the Ray Gun and Decimator Shield alongside new weapons as you join Sacrifice and uncover the secret to defeating Kortifex.

The new map Terra Maledicta is set in the desert of Eastern Egypt and here portals to new arenas will open, including the Dark Aether itself in this brand new location. Here, Professor Krafft and his Special Forces have established a locomotive in the Dark Aether and they are willing to risk it all to recover a lost page from the Tome of Rituals.

As mentioned above, Vercanna the Last joins the fight and is a healer. She has an elemental command of Life Energy through her Artifact, which grants the player the ability Healing Aura. There are five levels to the Artifact, and when it is activated, the Artifact sends beams of light down to all Operators and instantly restores them to a healthy state.

With a new ally comes a new enemy: Zaballa the Deceiver. This executor from the Dark Aether has served Kortifex for thousands of years as one of the “Sisters of Agony”. According to Sledgehammer, she is resistant to many forms of attack, but what gives her energy “may also be her biggest weakness.”

Old and new Wonder Weapons return with Decimator Shield and Ray Gun. The former is a new Wonder Weapon that offers protection and the Decimation Blast ability. Then Ray Gun is back. It fires circular enemy beams that can kill zombies in one shot. Look for it in the Mystery Box, or as a lucky drop bonus during the match.

You can also look forward to the Sixth Objective, Special Story Quest, and extra Easter Eggs inspired by the Origins map from Black Ops 2. There’s also a new Covenant called the Artifact Ward with three Rare level.

With Battlefieldyou will see new features appear like Nebula V, Redeploy Balloons, Bomber and more.

You’ll be able to explore the Chemical Factory and underground Chemical Weapons Research Laboratories, find new points of interest in Caldera, and the Axis soldiers patrolling these new areas. Caldera Clash is coming, and Rebirth Reinforced is coming mid-season.

Nebula V is intended for larger-scale weapons but can be used for ammunition and small arms bombs, both of which are found in extremely small quantities around Caldera. Classified as a Field Upgrade in Warzone, Nebula V Ammo is no more powerful than regular ammo, but if the Operator is shot down by a projectile, they emit a cloud of toxic gas. This means that anyone who tries to revive the Operator or stands a few feet away from them will experience coughing, blurred vision, and a light amount of damage over time.

There’s also the rare Nebula V Bomb, a key briefcase filled with deadly gas with an explosion. Once activated and placed in front of the Operator, it explodes after a fixed countdown and cannot be disarmed or destroyed. Its first explosion deals a large amount of damage in a small radius before the gas spreads outward, where it will hurt any Operator without a Gas Mask. The gas lasts for two minutes before eventually scattering or eating into the oncoming Circle.

You can also expect a portable Decontamination Station to purify the air within seconds, protecting anyone inside from the Collapsed Circle or Nebula V gas. This device will affect all Action Maps. of the Operator that allows people to see where they are activated. Since they can be seen by everyone, they can be destroyed with explosives or ballistics.

Armored transport trucks will arrive and they roll from afar on a predetermined detour, attacking those near it. It has two machine gun turrets and you will need to avoid the mines it drops behind it. The machine will also call for air support if its condition is low. Once destroyed, the Armored Transport Truck will drop really valuable items, including – in the rarest of cases – an intact Nebula V Bomb.

Interesting new features are the Chemical Plant and Chemical Weapons Research Laboratory mentioned above. The Chemical Plant is a working plant that spews out Nebula V, and it has a layout similar to that of the site it replaced, that of the refinery located between the Mines and the Docks. Here you will notice some enemy soldiers and a trap can be set up in the central building. There’s also some space inside to explore, and if you get into it, you’ll walk away with more valuable loot on average.

The underground Chemical Weapons Research Laboratory forms seven research laboratories around the island, each guarded by small squads of soldiers. These underground labs can be found using the hand-drawn yellow circles that show up on your Tac Map. There is only one road into the facilities so be sure to have a plan before going in.

As mentioned above, the Warzonbe update also includes a new Bomber and a Redeployed Balloon. Bomber is an air-to-ground striker capable of not only destroying infantry and vehicles, but also capable of destroying tanks. Then there’s the Redeploy Balloon that will show up on your Tactical Map as a Blimp symbol. You can climb to the top of the balloon via a zip tied to the balloon, then jump off at the top, and then open your parachute to cover long distances. Aircraft or weapons can destroy the Redeploy Balloon, and once the Balloon is deflated, the Operator can spend several hundred dollars to inflate it.

You can also look forward to two limited-time modes built by High Moon Studios and Beenox. Those are Caldera Clash and Rebirth Iron Trials.

Developed by High Moon Studios, Caldera Clash splits two teams of up to 48 Operators into Quads in a Deathmatch. An evolution of Clash on Verdansk ’84, this mode allows Operators to engage with their Custom Loader, which can have any weapon from Modern Warfare to Vanguard and Field Upgrades. Each kill of your team earns a point, with the first team to reach a set number of points, or the team with the most points at the end of the time limit, being declared the winner.

Rebirth Iron Trials is developed by Beenox and is based on Iron Trials ’84 by Raven Software. This is a customized Battle Royale variant for highly competitive players. It features its own set of weapons from the Black Ops Cold War and many rule changes to increase kill time (TTK). It’s Duos mode – 20 teams of 2, for a total of 40 Operators – and uses the same Collapse size and speed. The winners will receive a unique Animated Calling Card.

And finally, with the Season Two update, you can also expect some quality of life changes, including the Gas Mask animations that no longer interrupt Moderators aiming down the line of sight. .
