Here’s what would happen if baby Jack Marston fought a grizzly bear

A man enters, a bear leaves.

A helpful Red Dead Redemption 2 player kindly gave us all a look at a showdown between a very young Jack Marston and one of the game’s grizzly bears. The results are…certainly something, and yet probably very predictable. This is definitely a match no one wanted to see, but it seems the Marston family just can’t avoid animal attacks.

For a split second early in the video, there’s a glimmer of hope that this might not be full carnage. Since this is Red Dead Redemption and crazier things have happened, it makes sense to assume that what you’re expecting isn’t the true outcome. Unfortunately, that is not the case in this situation.

In a result that shouldn’t surprise anyone, Jack doesn’t win. But just writing it like that doesn’t emphasize the whole point. He Yes, really doesn’t win, and it’s not even close. The poor boy never had a chance, and this thunderdome (which is made out of wardrobes) only serves to imprison him. That’s not to say the arena is the problem; Jack probably never stood a chance, even if he had to maneuver through a forest.

As this video is provided by Reddit and Tiktok user NPCpranks, what can you expect other than a video of a kid being dismembered by a bear?

*Although there is no blood, some may find the following footage somewhat confronting.*

Ever since his father, John Marston, was attacked by all those wolves, that bear encounter was inevitable. As anyone who played the first Red Dead Redemption knows, Jack grows strong enough to eventually take on a bear. Maybe the end of the first game and Jack becoming playable was just the prologue to him chasing that bear for a rematch. Here’s what would happen if baby Jack Marston fought a grizzly bear
