Here’s your first look at the Switch box art for Splatoon 3

Nintendo yesterday confirmed the upcoming Squid shooter turn 3 would “arrive” on the Switch this September.

Alongside this, we also got a brand new trailer that shows an extended look at Turf War. But that’s not all. In addition, Nintendo has now shared official North American game packaging art as well. It looks similar to the first two games.

In Splatoon 3, the Inklings will enter the “Splatlands” – a new sun-scorched desert location best known for its chaotic city of Splatsville. This next entry will see the return of Turf War, Story Mode, Salmon Run, and all sorts of new levels, weapons, and content.

Even in this desolate environment, Turf War* reigns supreme and battles rage in new stages set in the surrounding wilderness. Dynamic new moves help these fighters dodge attacks and cover more ground, along with a new arc-shaped weapon for hurling ink.

Battle the unruly Octarians with Agent 3 in story mode. Discover the mysteries of Alterna, the Fuzzy Ooze, and how they relate to the theme of the Return of the Mammals mode.

Band together and fend off waves of dangerous Salmonid bosses in the next version of Salmon Run*, a co-op mode with fresh new features.
