A heroic Ukrainian mother saved her baby’s life from Russian shelling by protecting her body.
Olga, 27, was seriously wounded by shrapnel in Vladimir Putin’s attack on Kyiv last week.
In a moving picture shared online, she can be seen cradling her one-month-old baby while a man believed to be her partner comforts her.
Miraculously, the little girl is believed not to have been hurt thanks to her quick-thinking mother.
The two were cared for on Friday in the Kiev children’s hospital Ohmatdyt.
Journalist Anastasiia Lapatina, who works for the English-language newspaper Kyiv Independent, said the baby is fine.
