Hitman 3 will bring changes to arcade contracts in March, add expanded support for contract mode, and more

IO Interactive has outlined what hit man 3 Players can expect for the month of March.

Players can expect a revamped Elusive Target Arcade, new arcade contracts, the return of an elusive target, and improved support for contract mode.

Launching today is a new batch of three Arcade Contracts, one for each game in the trilogy: Nebulae, Genera, and Vitae. Complete one of these and you’ll unlock the winner AR552 Tactical.

Today also marks a few changes affecting Arcade Contracts already released, including those arriving today.

Changes include a reintroduction of mission briefing for each individual mission, there will now be a single complication that will persist in each arcade contract, complications from The Deceits have been removed and this includes Hide All Bodies and Camera Countdown. The only remaining complication is “One Pacification”.

The developers have removed the following complications from The Codices: “One Disguise Change” and “Headshots Only”. The only remaining complication is “No Civilian Casualties”. And these complications were removed from The Ellipses: “No Ballistics” and “Camera Countdown”. The only remaining complication is “Hide All Bodies”.

It has also decided to keep the Hide All Bodies complication in The Ellipses to keep up with the decision to keep the first complication from each contract and to avoid issues with the leaderboards. It will no longer appear in future arcade contracts.

Changes are also coming soon to Elusive Target Arcade Contracts. These contain three goals per arcade contract. Complications that would be considered “creatively limiting” or could result in immediate failure are avoided – including the “blank all bodies” complication. The team is also exploring whether to make all ET Arcade complications optional. If there are no problems, this will be implemented with the next patch.

On March 11th, Elusive Target The Collector returns, taking players back to Dartmoor. You have 10 days to eliminate him. You can learn more about the goal in the video above.

More cards will be supported in contract mode on March 17th. Of the four missions in Hitman 1 GOTY’s Patient Zero campaign, The Source (Bangkok) is already supported and The Vector (Colorado) will no longer be supported in the future due to its dynamic nature and unique sniper setup. The team overhauled the other two maps from the Patient Zero campaign and added Contract mode support to them this month. The Author (Sapienza) and Patient Zero (Hokkaido) will be added on March 17th. You must own the Hitman 1 GOTY Access Pass DLC to play these missions or complete contracts.

Of particular note, the virus contamination was removed from the Hokkaido mission, as the team felt it was “too pretentious” for the contract mode.

There will be Patient Zero Featured Contracts, one for each mission, and together they form a mini-campaign of sorts.

Finally, on March 24th, a series of Arcade Contracts for Elusive Target Arcade will be released. This stack will also include an Arcade Contract made up of elusive objectives from each game in the trilogy. Once you successfully complete any of the three, you will be awarded the HWK21 Covert.
