Hitman 3 Year 2 content includes lifelike mode, new maps, customizable safehouse and more

Hitman 3 is entering its second year, and today, IO Interactive has provided information on what could happen there.

One of the more exciting things to expect from Year 2 is a new mode with lifelike elements called Freelancers introduces strategic planning and a customizable safehouse.

Coming out this spring, this mode features Agent 47’s Safe House. This playable space is customizable as it allows you to choose exactly what type of Hitman you are. As you progress through Freelancer, more areas of the Safe House can be unlocked and new customization options become available. This area can be decorated, has a place for you to change clothes, you can have a shooting range in it, and more. This is also an important area as it is where all your pre-mission planning is done.

Here, Agent 47 will have access to a ‘mission center’ where he can view all existing Freelancer campaigns, each representing a criminal enterprise across the World of Darkness. close. You will be able to select the campaign of your choice. For each campaign, you need to choose the order in which you want to play the missions. After each mission, you’ll return to your safehouse to replenish, resupply, and strategically plan your next move. Any position you leave until the end will be where you will corner the Leader of the business. You will then get paid and return to your safe home.

Campaign missions have been reworked to accommodate Freelancer mode. For example, locations will have new types of NPCs, which can help or hinder your progress. Vendors will provide a variety of weapons and items, and some NPCs will alert the Leader and make your job harder. In addition to these NPCs, there are several other factors that will make Freelancer campaigns unique. You’ll be able to find safes, vaults, and even other Assassin NPCs.

Unlike the main Hitman campaign, gear in this mode won’t last, so anything you bring on the mission and don’t bring it home safely will be lost. Finding equipment at a Vendor is one way to replenish your inventory or even replace something you’ve lost. In Freelancer, consumables will need to be replenished as there will be no supplies from ICA in this mode.

Along with Freelancer mode, players will have a new map to traverse. It is called Rocky, and IO promises more information about it will be revealed later this year.

Coming up on January 20th, a new game mode called Elusive target video game. This all-new game mode takes the Elusive Target concept to the next level by combining the formula with new challenges and unlockable rewards. Don’t worry, though: it will still maintain the essence of what makes Elusive Targets so fun to play.

The cool thing here is that each Arcade Contract assigns you to take down consecutive Elusive Objectives. Each must be completed in order to proceed to the next, and there are additional complexities that will also be added to the contract. If you fail to fulfill your Arcade Contract at any point, there will be a 12-hour lockout before you can try again.

When Year 2 begins on January 20, Arcade will have three Arcade Contracts available, each with an Elusive Objective from a specific game in the World of Assassination trilogy. For example, the Ellipses Video Game Contract with three goals from Hitman 3 and two other Video Game Contracts will also be available on January 20 with the respective goals from Hitman 1 and Hitman 2. Multiple contracts Video game coins will be added throughout the year.

Also announced during the reveal was Hitman VR will be available on PC on January 20th. It will be available to all Hitman 3 owners. Full details on supported hardware will be revealed ahead of launch.

Speaking of PCs, the option to enable Ray Tracing on PC is coming later this year. With better reflections and better shadows, IO says locations will look better than ever, and the technology will be enabled for all locations in the World of Assassination trilogy. In addition, the game will also implement Intel’s XeSS technology, which uses machine learning to deliver higher performance with truly beautiful visuals. The development team will also implement VRS (Variable Rate Shading) to increase PC performance by shading at different frequencies.

And finally, a Hitman trio will launch on January 20. With all the games in a single bundle, it will be made available digitally for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and the Epic Games Store – as well as Steam , Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.

On Steam, Hitman 3 will have full support for PC VR and all the technical improvements mentioned above, such as Ray Tracing, XeSS, and Variable Rate Shading. The team is currently working on Steam Achievements and Trading Cards, which will also include the Trinity Bundle (hitman 3 pre-order bonus) free with all versions of Hitman 3 for the first 30 days .
