Hollywood star Kevin Spacey charged with more sex crimes

Prosecutors say actor Kevin Spacey will be charged with a series of additional sex crimes against a man.

The UK Public Prosecution Service (CPS) said it had approved seven new charges against the 63-year-old, including three counts of indecent assault, three counts of sexual assault and one count cause a person to engage in sexual activity without consent.

The Oscar-winning actor appeared in court at the Old Bailey in July to deny five charges involving three men, both in their 30s and 40s.

Rosemary Ainslie, head of CPS’ Special Crimes Division, said: “CPS has authorized additional criminal prosecutions against Kevin Spacey, 63, for several sexual assaults against a man. from 2001 to 2004.

“CPS has also allowed a person to accuse someone of engaging in sexual activity without consent. Jurisdiction to charge after considering the evidence collected by the Metropolitan Police in the investigation.

“The Crown Prosecution Service reminds all concerned that criminal proceedings against Mr. Spacey are ongoing and that he is entitled to a fair trial.”
