Landlord Phil Tewkesley, 47, made the shocking findings after he was able to get rid of occupants who he claims have refused to go for months.

When he was finally able to enter the bungalow, he found it full of garbage, including four snakes – two dead and two alive – fish, bugs crawling on the carpet and even a scorpion and tarantula, report LancsLive.

The tenant is said to be an animal lover who has rescued snakes and other creatures.

The homeowner has now shared shocking footage of the dumped house, near Kendal, and the abandoned creatures.

Phil, from Worsley, said: “It was unbelievable, the huge volume of not only furniture but real trash and food. I’ve never seen anything like it in my life – it’s like a covered dump.

“Neighbors say they’re hoarders – they take delivery every day and never throw anything out. There’s mold that grows from the carpet and is full of urine, vermin – you name it. for it, it was rotting.

“There is also evidence of some rodent infestation and a bit of infestation with rodent holes all over the house.

“Worst girls room – Lisa, my partner cleaned it and had to run out of the house heaving and backing up many times because of the stench of urine.

“I saw this huge tank and it was filthy. I looked at the tank a little closer and was really shocked – there was this huge snake curled up.

“I was so scared, I screamed and ran out of the house because I was so shocked to witness such an unbelievable thing.”

Phil has given an official notice to tenants to move out of the chalet when he returns to the UK at the end of 2020, after living abroad for six years.

According to reports, the couple who lived in the house with their teenage daughter did not leave for another year.

Phil, a human resources manager, gained access to his property last December and later discovered that the entire three-bedroom house was littered with trash and contained both dead and living exotic animals. .

He phoned the RSPCA and left a spare key with the neighbors, allowing them to come and collect the ‘giant’ snake.

RSPCA officers also called the police, who sent an officer to witness the animals’ recovery.

After they were removed, the locks were changed and tenants were given a month to clear out their remaining belongings before cleaning started.

It took the host, partner Lisa McCartney, 40, and some of his friends about 54 hours to clear all the trash and tear the dirty carpets out.

Phil said: “I initially rented three bypasses – for £250 each – and we filled them up in one day, followed by another two that were also full. I also had to pay the council to have them fill up. made a large collection of sofas and kitchen appliances because they were rotting.

“It costs about £1,200 just to get rid of their stuff and the things they destroyed and it will cost tens of thousands of pounds to get it back.

“It was a really stressful period, trying to get him to leave and then looking for what I found.

“We’re getting married later this year so that’s something we really don’t need to deal with.”

Phil, who said he felt the new Covid rule, giving tenants six months to find a new place to live, was ‘fair’, giving a holiday deadline of April 2021.
