The fear of spiders is one of the most common fears a person can have, so Arachnophobia, directed by Frank Marshall, may have given many people shivers when it was released. A mysterious spider with prehistoric origins has been discovered in Venezuela, with the rare honeycomb spider making its way from the country to a small California town. After interbreeding with house spiders, a new breed of venomous and vicious spiders began to populate the town, killing their victims almost instantly with a single bite.
No one likes spiders, and if someone tells you they do, they’re a liar. However, even the most hardcore spider lovers (liars), likely won’t protect the spiders that are wreaking havoc on the town of Canaima. The bites of these spiders can kill extremely quickly and, as seen in the film, very painful, and without the characters in the film, they would have been able to reproduce. Can you imagine trying to survive this movie, especially if you have a fear of spiders?
