House prices in Eastbourne rose by an average of over £8,000 in June, according to figures from the Land Registry.
The latest Government Department data shows that average house prices in Eastbourne hit £296,534 in June 2022.
This was up from £287,984 in May, an increase of 3.0 per cent. In the last 12 months it has increased by 11.7 percent.

Broken down by apartment type, all prices rose.
- detached houses – Up to £572,342 from £558,767 in May
- terraced houses – Up to £391,468 from £379,912 in May
- terraced houses – Up to £306,994 from £297,131 in May
- Apartments – Up to £206,073 from £200,131 in May
Even comparing Eastbourne to the UK picture, the area is slightly above the UK average, with typical property values across countries hitting £286,397 in June.
In cash terms, the average house price in June was £20,721 higher than a year earlier, with house price growth accelerating to 7.8 per cent in June 2022. Prices rose 1.0 percent month-on-month.
