Hove Beach Huts open doors for the festive Christmas Open Day
Beach shack owners have decked out and opened their doors for a pre-Christmas open house.
Cottages adorned with festive lights, Christmas wreaths and cut outs of the Magi were on display at the event at Hove Beach Cottages near Hove Lawns.
The event was an opportunity for owners to use their traditional summer cottages to spread the festive spirit. Some served mulled wine and mince pies and raised money for charity.

Karen Peck, who created an exhibition featuring the three wise men, said: “There’s a lot of work here.
“I wanted to pass on my faith in Jesus. I haven’t seen the other huts yet.”

Other huts on display included a woman playing the saxophone outside her hut and another in which the owners dressed up as Santa Claus and Mrs Claus.
Another hut included in the exhibition used a design which included photos of all the beach huts in Brighton and Hove in order, created during the Covid-19 pandemic.
