Hove man arrested for money laundering after police discovery


GEMSTONES, several thousand pounds in cash and expensive jewelery have been seized by police as part of an investigation into alleged drug trafficking.

Officers from the Tactical Enforcement Unit carried out a search warrant at an Albany Villas property in Hove and discovered several wads of cash totaling around £11,000, gemstones believed to be diamonds and jewellery.

Receipts for a car worth nearly £50,000, showing £8,000 of the cost in cash and the rest on a debit card, were also found by police.

A 32-year-old man from Hove was arrested on suspicion of money laundering and released under investigation as police continue their investigation.
