The main story of Horizon Forbidden West brought me to 32 hours to complete. This includes doing 10 lengthy side quests along the way as well as tackling some relic ruins, expanding all the Tallnecks, and quite a few rounds of Machine Strike. Despite all of this, I still go into the final mission where two levels of weakness make it a bit of a struggle, trying to get through my tooth’s final fight. This is not something I wouldn’t necessarily recommend and would encourage leveling up to prepare Aloy with as big of a health bar as possible.
Since then, I booked another 20 hours in the Forbidden City and are still discovering new things every day – whether it’s new, older versions of the machines or fascination with new stories and interesting characters that tell them. I still have a lot of work to do with the map overflowing with icons and my game completion rate hovers around 60%. I’m only a few titles away from platinum though, which is entirely achievable and will hopefully turn out any day.

Under normal circumstances, I hit the credit mark on Horizon Forbidden West after about 38 hours. Of course, I did quite a bit of side work here and there, and sometimes stopped my process entirely to focus on making sure I had the most up-to-date weapons and armor, even even go as far as going around the world to hunt. Down on machines and wild animals to upgrade said equipment. The side quests in Forbidden West can vary in length, but most would agree that they’re pretty lengthy, and I’ve completed 10 of them by the time credits are reached. Now that I’ve finished the main story, my notebook tells me I’ve finished the game at 38%, and I believe so. My map is still full of side quests, loot camps, cauldrons, Tallnecks. So, 40 hours to go, maybe 40 hours to go!

My time with Horizon Forbidden West main campaign is over only shy 42 hours at level 35 go into the ultimate story mission. I did a lot of side quests during that time, tried almost every kind of optional objective, got a few quests from interesting characters, and occasionally explored the land for animals and parts. machines to upgrade my gear, outfits, and bags. Interesting, In my 42 hours, I only completed about 42% of all Forbidden West goals, and it seems I haven’t even found a side quest type nor a collectable one yet. There’s even a huge amount of the map still covered in fog that I need to explore and I fully expect to spend a few dozen more hours crisscrossing the Forbidden City, hunting down every last vestige of the world. old. And maybe find some interesting new themes for Aloy.

I blew up in the main campaign of Horizon Forbidden West in less than 30 hours (29 and a half to be exact) with only minor detours to level up Aloy to the recommended main quest level. Since the end of the story, although I have discovered a lot of side quests and activities that I have never even tried, and so far have indulged in another 30 hours trying everything I have given up. miss the first time. Even though I feel like I’ve seen most of what the world has to offer now, my completion counter still only says 66%. This game is huge!
I am also a title hunter and currently, I’m just two trophies away from platinum. That is certainly achievable in 60 hours for dedicated, trophy-laden people like me!
