This fee is according to insiders reporting to The Sun and has never been confirmed by Channel 4.

How much TV do the actors of Gogglebox have to watch?

The cast of Gogglebox had to watch TV about 12 hours a week.

The televised marathon was split into two six-hour shifts, allowing the actors to continue their main work commitments and any schooling they had to pass.

The hour-long run led to some criticism from the cast. Paige Deville to leave the show in 2021 and move on Twittersaid: “I have decided to leave Gogglebox.

Speaking of the casting, show creator Stephen Lambert said in 2015: “People on Gogglebox have been found and persuaded to join the show and I think that’s the key to why they’re so likable and why the show works, because we know these people. We’ve never advertised to people on Gogglebox.”
