Based on this footage, we can infer that the Inquisitors caught the wind of a Jedi hiding on Tatooine. We even see Reva interrogate a group of Mos Eisley residents including Joel Edgerton’s Owen Lars. She doesn’t seem to like Owen as someone who is raising a future Jedi Knight, but she’s clearly too close to detect the existence of her son Anakin Skywalker. That’s where Obi-Wan comes in.
By far the biggest question surrounding the series is what exactly caused Obi-Wan to leave Tatooine. Why take such a risk? Is there someone or something calling him to action How can you get him out of his hiding place and duel him again with Darth Vader without changing his continuity? movies?
However, we now know what motivated him to take action. Obi-Wan seems to be doing something early on in the series that draws unwanted attention from the Empire. With the scent of the Inquisitors, Obi-Wan will have no choice but to leave Tatooine and create a path for the enemy to track. He’d rather sacrifice himself than risk letting Luke fall to the Empire before he’s old enough to wield his father’s lampshade.
Somehow, Obi-Wan will have to do one last trick: He needs to lure the Inquisitors away from Tatooine, give them a proper hunt, and make sure they don’t return to the desert planet later. this. That could mean faking his death at some point along the way. Apparently, Master Kenobi cut his job for him.
Who is Reva Inquisitor?
While the series will feature several members of the Sith Inquisitorius, it seems likely that Ingram’s Reva will be the series’ central villain (at least until Hayden Christensen’s Darth Vader arrives).
According to StarWars.com, Reva has been ranked Third Sister. However, based on how the Grand Inquisitor seems to be lecturing her on the nature of the Jedi Knights, we get the impression that Reva is a new recruit. Based on the series’ placement in the Star Wars timeline, it’s even possible that Reva was recruited to fill the void left by Sister Hai, following the climax of Jedi: Fallen Order. Obi-Wan Kenobi takes place approximately ten years after the events of Episode III and five years after Fallen Order.
Then there’s the fact that the character was even given a civilian name in the first place. The Inquisitors may have had other lives before becoming pawns of Darth Vader, but those lives are meant to be dead and buried as Vader’s Anakin Skywalker identity. So why was Ba given a name? Is this a clue that she hasn’t been completely corrupted by the Inquisitorius yet?
Hunting for Obi-Wan could be Reva’s first real test as an Inquisitor, which would certainly explain why she seems so fanatical in the trailer. Is she like Kylo Ren, a fallen Jedi who overcompensates for the fact that they’re not 100% committed to the Dark Side? Perhaps Obi-Wan will see an opportunity to pull her out of the shadows, a small act of redemption for all the Jedi he lost in the Clone Wars. If so, Reva’s best hope is that she doesn’t meet the same fate as Sister Hai.
