How to turn off iPhones using the home button
If you have an iPhone with a home button, turning it off is really easy.
Just hold down the “Power” button until a slider appears on the screen.
Then just drag the slider and wait 30 seconds for iPhone to turn off.
Press and hold the button again to turn the device back on.
The button you need to press is either on the top of the handset if it’s an iPhone SE (1st gen), iPhone 5 or earlier.
And it’s on the side of the handset if you’re using an iPhone SE (2nd or 3rd gen), iPhone 8, 7 or 6.

How to turn off iPhones without a home button
The method is slightly different for an Apple smartphone with Face ID and no home button.
One way to do this is through software.
Go to the Settings app, then General > Shutdown.
From there you can turn off the phone using the slider.
Alternatively, you can press and hold one of the volume buttons and the side button until the power off slider appears.
Drag the slider and wait 30 seconds for iPhone to turn off.
To turn the iPhone back on, press and hold the side (right) button until you see the Apple logo.
