How Tony Bloom evaluates Graham Potter’s work in Brighton

That’s how Tony Bloom described Graham Potter when speaking to The Argus about him this summer.

Albion always thinks of allowing employees – gaming or non-gaming – to explore new career opportunities when offers come in.

They will have followed that policy with Potter, but it doesn’t suggest at all that they want him to go.

Bloom was asked about plans to extend Potter’s contract when speaking to The Argus in early July.

The Albion chairman replied: “As I have said many times before, Graham is an excellent fit for Brighton. He’s an excellent manager.

“He guided us to our highest finish ever. I am very happy with Graham.

“I can’t speculate on what might happen in the future, the same goes for players.
