The labels of the sauce are known to people all over the world

When it comes to iconic British cupboard essentials, HP sauce tops the list for many people.

The famous spice is named after the Houses of Parliament and the label proudly displays the historic landmark.

However, Heinz bosses have announced they will be changing the packaging to reflect Big Ben’s new makeover.

Back in May 2019, they added scaffolding to the image of the Elizabeth Tower to give an honest look at the ongoing restoration work.

With the scaffolding removed in late March and April, HP Sauce labels will also be restored to their original glory.

The hugely popular limited edition Scaffold Bottles are now only available while supplies last – so snag one while you can!

Clara Monksfield, Junior Brand Manager for HP Sauce, said: “The Elizabeth Tower, home of Big Ben, has graced our label for over a century, so it was only right that we updated our label in 2019 to reflect the story , as she happened to be the London landmark with the most Instagram pictures.

“We were delighted to hear the news that the scaffolding will soon be dismantled – four years after the structure was first encased for the restoration project. As a celebrated sauce associated with these iconic landmarks, we will also be removing the scaffolding from our bottles, once again showing these amazing landmarks in all their original glory.

“We’ve been very happy with the response to our special edition bottles, so make sure you get a piece of history in stores before they go on sale.”

Famous London landmarks, including the Elizabeth Tower, the House of Commons and Westminster Bridge, have graced the label of the legendary HP sauce for over 100 years.

The 2019 label change was the first design change to the famous bottle in 123 years, and now there’s only limited time to grab a piece of history.

Glass bottles of HP sauce with the scaffold label are available from all major retailers while supplies last. Grab one while you can!
