Huge free upgrade for millions of WhatsApp users is coming today – and it’s a game changer

WHATSAPP introduces a new feature that allows you to talk to yourself.

It may sound crazy – but it’s a brilliant hack that could make your life a lot more organized.

The WhatsApp feature is aptly named Message Yourself.

It has been tested for a while but is finally rolling out for the general WhatsApp app on iPhone and Android.

To get it, make sure you have updated your WhatsApp to the latest version.

And keep in mind that rollout may take a few weeks, so you might not see it right away.

After the update you will see your own name at the top of your contact list on WhatsApp.

You can then start a chat with yourself and send messages.

It could be very useful: you might want to set reminders, save recipes or keep a shopping list.

WhatsApp has historically allowed users to message themselves, but it was a much more complicated process.

Now it’s easy to start a chat with yourself.

Better still, you can pin your personal chat to the top of your WhatsApp so you can easily access your one-way conversation at any time.

An official WhatsApp promotional image for the feature shows someone texting themselves with a shopping list, a PDF of travel destinations, a voice memo, a forwarded link to safety tips, and a to-do list.

But you can use it for anything you want – nobody else can see your chat.

If you want to try other new WhatsApp features, joining the beta is a great option.

This allows you to test changes in front of general WhatsApp users.

How to get WhatsApp beta

To download WhatsApp Beta for your smartphone, you need to go to Google Play on your smartphone Android and search for whatsapp.

Scroll down the page until you see “Become a Beta Tester”.

Tap the “I’m in” button, then tap “Join” to confirm.

Now all you have to do is wait for the update to the beta version of the app.

Join the WhatsApp beta iOS is more difficult and has a limited capacity.
