Actor Hugh Bonneville, comedian Johnny Vegas and Line Of Duty actor Adrian Dunbar will explore their ancestors in a new series of DNA Journeys later this year.
Wednesday’s series on ITV1 will see four celebrity couples explore their pasts and make life-changing discoveries in South Africa, Ireland and Norwich and St Helens, in the UK.
Bonneville, 59, of West Sussex, is best known for playing Robert Crawley, Earl of Grantham in Downton Abbey and the ITV TV series, and for starring in the Paddington film and its sequel Paddington 2.

In the final pairing, Oti Mabuse and her sister Motsi Mabuse, both famous for their Serious Dancing show, will uncover the truth behind their bloodline using DNA technology and expertise in program pedigree.

The two ballroom dancers, from South Africa, have moved to Germany and appeared on the country’s version of Strictly Let’s Dance before joining the BBC celebrity dance series.
Oti Mabuse, 32, announced she would be leaving the BBC show in 2022 and becoming a judge on ITV’s Dancing On Ice and panel member of The Masked Dancer, while Motsi Mabuse, 41, is a strict judge.
