Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden has more to offer than you might initially think – aside from being a spectacular celebrity.
At the time she first entered the field, Amanda, now 51 years old, spent her time living on the sidelines and even branching out into television.
Life on Mars star Philip Glenister recalls a time when he and Amanda – then 22 – had to deal with the consequences after a night of drinking in Manchester.
The duo worked together on In Suspicious Circumstances in the 1990s, where Amanda took her first break from television.
In 2016, he recalls how he and his now mother of two crept their way to the fan-favorite TV series Coronation Street.

In June 2016, Philip recalled how he and Amanda once crept to the famous set after drinking overnight – and ended up facing the consequences the next day.
Recalling what happened, Philip told People: “She was very tired that day.
“The night before we went out to Manchester, and she was feeling upset and hungover.
“She won’t mind when I say, I’m sure.
“Back then, hangouts weren’t so bad, because we were so young – I was 30 and she was 22.
“She was very sweet and I remember we snuck into the set of Coronation Street and looked around.”

A few years later, Amanda and Philip worked on the ITV series The Hunt, where Amanda played Sarah Campbell and Philip played Rob Campbell.
Producer Margaret Mitchell described the series: “The Hunt is a passionate love story about a member of a land noble family who only finds true happiness after falling in love with her. .”
Amanda plays Sarah, a young wife who leaves London for a fresh start in the country with her husband, rock concert promoter Rob.
The TV soap has always had a special place in Amanda’s heart, especially Corrie, after admitting she’d love to get a role on the ITV show.
In 2009, she told PA that she would enjoy some time in the Weatherfield soap.
“What I want to do is go in Opening the street. I love Corrie and it’s kind of more iconic. I’ll go into that a little bit,” she continued.

She added: “I wanted to go into it like some kind of snobby southern bitch. Maybe go buy The Kabin from under Rita’s nose and turn it into a salon or something terrible they do. hate, so they ousted me and I. back to London.”
Her love for the series most likely stems from her former marriage to former Corrie star Les Dennis when she was just 22 years old.
The actor played Michael Rodwell between 2014-2016 in the fan-favorite series.
The former couple – who have an 18-year age gap – met while performing on The Sound of Music in 1993.
The actress’ marriage to the beloved TV presenter seemed to have ended in the first place as she ended her relationship with Men Behaving Badly’s Neil Morrissey.
Amanda’s infidelity with comedian Les was ultimately what ended their romance.

In 2000, Amanda cheated on Les with Neil, while filming Happy Birthday Shakespeare on the BBC.
After a series of meetings with the cast of Line of Duty, they called it a departure in 2002.
Amanda has always appreciated Les and revealed that it was “the worst time of her life”.
She told the Daily Mail: “I took it on, I appreciate it, but it’s not going to be as bad. It was a very dark time. It was to the point where I felt like I was having a hard time. breathe.
“Les proved to be my savior. Ironically. So the person I hurt the most in the world was the one who was there for me.”
