Lottery bosses plan to reveal the lucky town and shop in the coming days after an incredible seven months without a jackpot winner.

The National Lottery implemented a must-win rule for Saturday night’s drawing, meaning that if no player matches all the numbers, millions will flow down the prize tiers.

But Mayo punter combined it all to get a lot and End a 62 long drought.

A spokesman for the National Lottery said: “Saturday’s draw was truly monumental in the history of the National Lottery.

“After an incredible 7 months, the biggest Lotto jackpot ever in gaming history has officially been won.

“19.06 million euros was naturally won because the holder of the winning ticket matched all six numbers, which means that the Will Be Winner mechanism is unnecessary.
