Huntington Beach police shoot, kill man as US Open of Surfing underway nearby

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (KABC) — An allegedly armed man who was shot by Huntington Seashore police has died, authorities confirmed Saturday.

The capturing occurred round 3:15 p.m., based on the Huntington Seashore Police Division, simply south of the town’s pier because the U.S. Open of Browsing was underway close by. Police stated that they had obtained experiences a couple of “suspicious man with a gun” within the space.

“The suspect was non-compliant to the a number of instructions given and an officer concerned capturing occurred,” the division stated in a press launch.

It is unclear what number of officers opened hearth and what number of pictures had been fired. Witnesses on the scene reported listening to a number of pictures.

The grownup Hispanic man was taken to the hospital the place he later died.

Police say a gun was recovered on the scene.
