A Flight attendant explained one thing passengers should do before traveling.
Annette Long, who now works as a flight attendant in the US, says using the airline’s app is your way to avoid any unexpected problems or delays.
“Download your airline’s phone app,” she wrote on Quora.
“That will keep you posted on everything going on before your flight.”
Most major airlines have their own apps, which are also great for tracking your flight.
UK airlines such as British Airways, easyJet and Jet2 all have their own designated apps for passengers.
Many of them not only let you check in through the app, but also let you know about any delays and which ports to go to.
Some even let you track your flight in real time so you can see if there are any delays before the airline notifies you.
Most airlines will now also accept digital boarding passes, so these apps are great for keeping your flight data visible at security and at the gate,
One app all Britons need right now is the NHS Covid app, to show they’re fully vaccinated when entering a country.
We have rounded another number Great travel app for use while traveling abroad.
The TripAdvisor app has an additional Travel Safety tool so you can filter hotels and restaurants with additional safety precautions.
There’s also Flush, which tells you the location of all the public toilets, XE Currency Converter will help you out when calculating expenses abroad.
If you want to rest at the airport, apps like Waiting room show you which lounges you are allowed to enter.
Anette also shared some other advice she always pursued as a flight attendant.
One woman said to always keep shorts in her suitcase, writing: “Don’t wear shorts. Planes are often cold, blankets are few and far between — and if you take one, it’s so thin, almost worthless.”
She added that there is always at least an hour between connecting flights., adding: “Some travel agents on the web will sell you cheap tickets, but the connection is less than 45 minutes and you can fly to Newark, Atlanta or Chicago and have to change terminals… and you won’t be able to do it.”
