I bought Aldi’s sold out Kirkton Black Grid Mirror and I’m very impressed

Having never ordered furniture from Aldi before, I was certainly a little nervous, but I couldn’t be happier with my purchase

It's still one of my favorite home purchases to this day!
It’s still one of my favorite home purchases to this day!

Well, if you’ve been reading my articles for quite a while, you’ll know that there’s nothing I love more than treating you all to a good Aldi bargain – especially when it comes from the SpecialBuys section.

Having recently moved, I was on the hunt for a black lattice mirror after spotting the trend on Instagram. But being a bargain hunter that I am, I obviously didn’t want to spend my entire budget on just one accessory.

Having said that, I was delighted to discover Aldi’s Kirkon House Black Grid Mirror for just £119.99 after scouring the internet – much cheaper than the other alternatives that have hit the market.

I was so impressed with the quality, fast delivery and the luxurious look of the mirror

As this was a special purchase I knew it wouldn’t be around for long so I immediately added it to my cart and hit the checkout button.

Unfortunately as the mirror was a SpecialBuy it is currently out of stock but as it has been restocked in the past it is best to keep an eye out.

But don’t worry I’ve spotted you a smaller version of the Kirkton Black Grid Mirror and it’s only £49.99. I’ve also included some affordable alternatives below so you can get the look for less.

Metal framed rectangular wall mirror, £199

I love this mirror which looks very similar to Aldi’s version. It’s a little more expensive than the supermarket version, but perfect for achieving the same Instagrammable look.

Kirkton Black Grid Mirror, £49.99

Perfect if you’re looking for something smaller to fill an empty wall in your hallway or living room. Trust me, this stunning mirror is sure to wow your guests as they walk through the door.

Well I can’t lie I was a bit skeptical ordering such a large piece of furniture from the budget supermarket but after reading the five star reviews it gave me a little more confidence.

As the mirror was a particularly large item I had to shell out an extra £9.95 for delivery bringing the total to £129.94 – but given the 2-7 working day delivery time I didn’t mind spending a little more it (not to mention I was pretty obsessed with it).

The mirror arrived quickly and very well packaged – trust me the thing didn’t break even after falling. One thing to note was the weight of the mirror which I read about in an online review prior to purchasing the item.

Let’s just say it’s definitely a two or even three person job depending on your strength (mine is very weak).

When the mirror finally came out I couldn’t believe how incredible the quality was and it looked so much more expensive than it was.

We decided to wall mount the mirror (as shown in the picture) which was quite a tricky task considering the weight, but we managed it anyway and I couldn’t be happier with the result. If you don’t want to wall mount your mirror, I would suggest leaning it against the wall with some command strips to avoid damaging your paint.

My final verdict… I would give this beauty a strong 4 out of 5. I am very impressed with the quality and look of the mirror as well as the speedy delivery and would 100% recommend it however there is a downside to the weight (or maybe I just need to get back to the gym).
