I couldn’t believe it when a couple parked their car on a pedestrian crossing

A couple named “Mr and Mrs Privilege” quickly got their compensation after parking their car on a pedestrian crossing.
The man driving the Lexus SUV pulled up at the junction and switched on his hazard lights as he sped into the local Co-op in Barrow, near Loughborough.
But a concerned pedestrian decided to get in and tell the woman waiting in the passenger seat they couldn’t stop there.
The man claimed he faced a barrage of backlash and verbal abuse – before cops drove by the scene.
The pair were eventually slapped with a parking ticket after the country cop was stopped mid-row.
Steve Pledger shared the saga in a post on Spotted Barrow-Upon-Soar’s Facebook page. Leicestershire Live reports.
He wrote: “Met a lovely couple in the village today. I didn’t catch their names, but let’s call them Mr and Mrs Privilege.
“Parked their nice expensive Lexus SUV on the crosswalk in front of the Coop, turned on the dangers while Mr P just pulled into the Coop leaving Mrs Privilege in the car.
“I noticed a woman crossing the street and we both went to the car and told her firmly but politely that they couldn’t park there.
“We were confronted with quite colorful language and she was very upset and angry that she was being questioned.”
He continued: “What did this have to do with us and who did we think we should tell her what to do?
“I even kindly pointed to the car park right next to the shop and told her to park there, not at an intersection at 12.50pm on a busy Friday. ‘He’s just going to pick up some cash!’ she protested. “We’re all *just* doing something,” I replied.
“She told me she was going to report me and took a picture of me. I told her my name and even posed for the photo with a double thumbs up and a big, friendly smile.
“Another lady came and shared my opinion and also told her very respectfully that they couldn’t park there.”
And in the midst of the altercation, a police car driving past the crime scene was stopped.
An officer approached the illegally parked vehicle just as the driver was returning.
Steve explained in his post: “They started bombarding him with their outrage, pointing at me and clearly trying to report my behavior, whatever that was.
“Anyway the nice Mr. Rural Policeman gave them a ticket, fine and a stiff talk, nodded at me, smiled, checked I was ok and thanked.

“Mr. Privilege got back in his car, drove off, and then stopped by me, gave me a handful of choice names (pretty strong language considering he was a seemingly well-off Lexus driver, told me his wife made me cry (she wasn’t crying, she was just as outraged as he was).”
The post was hailed as a “great read” by some users and even called “the best post on this site since the day it was created” by one member.
