I found a secret WhatsApp plan to change group chats – it could mean you are BLOCKED for some texts

WHATSAPP is testing a new group membership approval feature, app detectives have discovered.

The popular chat app is working on a major change that will allow group admins to pre-screen members.

If you have an invite link to join a group, you can usually just join at any time.

Whatsapp even recently increased the size of group chats to a mammoth 512 maximum participants.

And WhatsApp is also working on a community feature that will allow you to create “groups of groups”.

Now the apartment sleuths at WABetaInfo have spotted another change in WhatsApp group chats.

The tech expert scans the “beta test” version of WhatsApp for important updates that are in development.

And one is a group membership approval system.

“When group admins enable this feature, anyone who wants to join the group via a group invite link must be manually approved by a group admin,” explained WABetaInfo.

“And this event will show up in the group chat.

“In fact, right in the group info, there will be a new section where group admins can manage all incoming requests from people who want to join the group.”

You must enable the feature in the group settings to enable group requests.

Unfortunately, it’s impossible to say exactly when this new feature will go live.

It could be days, weeks, or months before it hits the market — or it could be scrapped before it’s even born.

How to join WhatsApp Beta

To download WhatsApp Beta for your smartphone, you need to go to Google Play on your smartphone Android and search for whatsapp.

Scroll down the page until you see “Become a Beta Tester”.

Tap the “I’m in” button, then tap “Join” to confirm.

Now all you have to do is wait for the update to the beta version of the app.

Participating in the WhatsApp beta on iPhone is more difficult and has a limited capacity.
