The skill was unveiled on Thursday, one of several additions Amazon says will make shopping easier with its digital helper.

Accordingly The Company notifies Alexa Prime members when eligible products become available for sale in their Wishlist or Cart.

The artificial intelligence software also shows price drops for items it has marked as “saved for later”.

This is the area of your Amazon account where you mark items that you would like to purchase in the future.

When the feature is enabled, you’ll see the yellow ring light or a pop-up notification on your Echo device.

To learn more, just ask, “Alexa, what are my notifications?”

You can then ask Alexa to order the items when the deal is live or send a reminder.

Just say “Alexa, buy it for me” and if the offer is available, Alexa will use the default payment and shipping address in your Amazon account to make the purchase.

The warnings only apply to “eligible” products and it’s unclear when this label will apply, e.g. B. whether the items are sold by Amazon or not.

They’re available now on Echo devices in the US and will likely be available in Europe in the future.

You can enable deal notifications through the Amazon Alexa app.

Before you begin, make sure you have the most current version of the software by going to Google Play or Apple’s App Store.

Once that’s out of the way, open the Alexa iOS or Android app and tap More > Settings > Notifications.

Tap on Amazon shopping and under shopping recommendations activate Deal Recommendations.

Amazon said, “We’re always looking for ways to build new Alexa experiences that make our customers’ lives easier.”

Alexa, a voice-controlled artificial intelligence assistant, was introduced in 2014 with the release of the first Amazon Echo speaker.

It competes against Google Assistant and Apple’s Siri, each of which has male and female language options and a range of accents to choose from.
