I got a serious fake-tan failure – I went GREEN and looked like Fiona from Shrek
A HEALTH support worker was feeling ill from a fake tan – as her skin turned the same shade of green as Shrek’s Princess Fiona.
Devon Birkett, 25, said she applied a layer of St Moriz Darker rather than Dark because her pale complexion made her look “like a ghost”.
But then she saw her feet turn blue while watching TV.
“I got up and looked in the mirror,” she said. I look like Shrek.
“I was verdant, it’s even worse in person.”
Devon, of Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, said it came about after a tease from friends. St Moriz declined to comment.
Devon adds: “When I apply sunscreen, I do everything I normally do – exfoliate and moisturize – before applying St Moriz Darker than Dark mousse.
“I usually put a layer on, sleep in it and wash it off the next day.

“When it spewed out as a mousse, it was a normal brown color [colour] but when it was on my skin it just started to turn green.
“I only booked one class. I don’t even put a lot on my face, just a little bit.
“I put it on around 6pm and was just sitting on the sofa watching a documentary about the murder.
“I had my feet on the coffee table and when I looked down at my feet, they were really green.
