I ignored the doctor’s advice and got drunk before getting lip fillers

A woman has urged people not to drink alcohol before injecting lip fillers, after leaving a swollen, bruised lips.
Niamh Harkin took to TikTok to share a video of her filler injection experience, with which she wrote: “Don’t drink the night before fillers.”
After the filler was injected, her right lip began to swell and bruise, before things took a turn for the worse.
In the end, she was left with a very large bruise on the right side of her upper lip, and two smaller bruises on the left side.
While Niamh doesn’t elaborate on why the reaction occurred, it’s a known fact that estheticians don’t recommend drinking alcohol 24 hours before filler injections.
This is because alcohol is thought to dilate blood vessels, which, in turn, increases the chance of bruising.
In the comments section, many people could not help but be stunned by Niamh’s reaction.
“Is it just drinking? Are you sure they didn’t hit or blow something up,” one person wrote.
Another added, “Ohhhh no, I drank it all before the filler and never had this reaction. This looks like a broken bottle!”
To which Niamh replied: “Still alive.”
“Haha god, I’m so glad they didn’t get worse. I cried,” another wrote.
Others used her video as a filler-free sign, tagging their friends in the clip.
In other side news, this woman has lost her filler – people say she looks like Homer Simpson.
This lady was left with HUGE sausage lips after a reaction to her filler.
And these girls were dubbed the “Brummy Spice Girls” and accused of having “too much filler” after a photo was lost in Asda.
