A MOTHER has revealed her genius method for making homemade popcorn for her kids.
Her secret is simple, cheap, and means she never has to buy a bag of microwave popcorn from the store again.
“I’ve been making homemade popcorn for my kids for years,” said the mother, @mmmorgan20 on TikTok, during a popular show. videotapes posted on her site.
“Small paper bag.
“Butter spoon.
“A quarter cup to a third cup of popcorn.
“Add a little salt,” she explains as she demonstrates the process in the video.
She then closed the brown paper bag and microwaved it for “about two minutes.”
The result is homemade butter, popcorn ready for her family to enjoy.
She concludes: “Easy to clean, does not use chemicals, can form a bag for each child and is very inexpensive.
The mother’s video has garnered nearly a million “likes” and is flooded with comments from people who don’t believe they never came up with the idea themselves.
One viewer wrote: “For a while I thought there was some kind of special material in the store-bought popcorn bags that allowed it to explode.
“Wait. Wait a minute.
“You mean I don’t have to splash oil on the stove and stand there shaking the damn pan!” TikToker enjoyed the second comment.
“Game. Change.”
However, another impressed viewer said: “Is there any insult class that teaches you these things.. ask for a friend.”
The popcorn hack opens the eyes to the long list of parenting tips that have been shared on the internet.
