Adam claims to have saved a fortune on bills and has to travel around the continent in his big vehicle.

The trucker had never been abroad before he was 31, but he has now traveled to almost every country in Western and Eastern Europe.

Adam, who works for Caffrey International, owns a home in Bradford but currently rents the property out as he travels every day.

He uses service hotels to shower, or sometimes stay, as well as the Welcome Break for food, drink, and a place to use the loo.

Adam is a popular social media figure who decided to share his journey from being in the army to working the streets during Covid.

The father-of-one has amassed over 500,000 followers after going viral and says he’s often spotted out and about.

While his lifestyle is far from regular, the Adam says he saves a fortune and “loves it.”

He said live in yorkshire: “People don’t know that driving a truck has many advantages. I saved over £20,000 last year by not having to pay gas, electricity or TV bills.

“Thanks to vouchers, I get most of my food for free and my petrol is reimbursed.

“People think they have to buy a house to achieve anything, but I want to show that I work and live in my truck and have achieved so much.”

“I learned a lot from going into the army – I did most of my qualifications there and I was also able to do my truck training.”

Adam says after getting his license in the Royal Logistics Corps in 2004 his “life changed”.

He continued, “I could never have done everything I have with truck driving.”

“I always loved trucks when I was younger, but even after training, I never thought I would get this job.

“My first trip across Europe was scary – you have a lot of responsibility on your shoulders – but my confidence soon grew. Now it’s my whole life.”

‘INSPIRED’

Adam now says he’s on a mission to change the way people see truck drivers.

He added: “The driver’s lifestyle is often perceived as overweight men who sit and eat junk food all day.

“People don’t realize that the job has so many perks. But the problem is when you get to the services, most of the options are fast food – I rely on those places.”

Adam says he often uses his Instagram success to show how you can be a truck driver and still eat healthy.

Later this year, the father will work with a gym to create a plan for people in the profession.

Adam said he wanted to show the positive side of his job after saying sharing his journey had inspired others to become truck drivers.

He added: “A lot of people have told me they were inspired to get a license after seeing what I do.

“It’s such a good feeling to see and I want young people to see that if you invest in yourself you can achieve so much through training.

“Before this job, I was nobody. You don’t have to have a house to make something of yourself.”
