The TikToker says she left the fussy boy in her crib every night for a week, and she’s been sleeping completely since.
“Sleep/cry it out training might not be for everyone,” she explains in a clip, posted from her handle @luljxta“but I did it in just a week when she was six months old and since then bedtime has been easy.”

In the clip, Rosy can be seen placing Violet-Blue in her crib while she’s awake, with a bottle of milk, before turning off the lights and leaving the room, adding: “She then slept until 8am. .”
However, while the mother clearly demonstrated that the method worked for her family, many dissenting TikTokers took to the comments section to criticize the technique.
“Training to sleep and crying are two completely different things. Sleep training they learn to sleep on their own. Letting them cry is neglect,” one person argued.
Another added: “Literally parenting is the opposite, even with research and scientific evidence.”
“There’s no way I could do it, they’re so young why wouldn’t you want to cuddle them to sleep when they’re so small,” commented a third, to which Rosy replied, “Because being a single parent very hard and after waking up for hours cuddling them to bed you start to lose your mind.”
Meanwhile, others were more supportive, with one commenting: “My mom did this and I turned out fine and had no ‘trauma’ to cry about. She’s beautiful.”
The cry it out method is a split sleep training technique, also known as the extinction method. The goal is to teach the child to fall asleep on his own without being fed or in the arms of his parents.
