Looking at the Aldi items, the shopper said everything she received was “not that bad”.

First, she received two 6-packs of Mr. Kipling Bramley Apple Pies that were a few days short of their sell-by dates.

She said someone at her house would eat them before the date marked.

Next she got a packet of two chipotle chicken enchiladas, dated the same day.

Samantha said she might freeze them to keep them longer.

She was then given two large 32-packs of cocktail sausages from the retail giant.

They also had the date of the day as the expiration date, but Samantha said she would freeze them too.

The shopper also received two packs of Aldi’s own plant-based peri-peri chicken cuts.

This vegan-friendly option also had today’s date, but Samantha said, “I’ll stick it in the freezer.”

She also got a large iced cherry wood cake that had an expiration date of a few days.

Samantha explained that the bread would not be eaten by herself and said she would give it to someone else.

Eventually, she also got carrot sticks and celery, both of which bore the date of the same day.

Samantha said she would make soup out of the two packets of vegetables.

‘NOT THAT BAD’

Looking at the groceries, she said: “All in all, for 3.99 euros, it’s not that bad.”

And in the caption, she wrote: “Defo will do it again in a day or two to see if there is a difference in the products.”

Too Good To Go is a service that allows customers to purchase additional groceries from restaurants and stores that are not selling that day or are about to expire.

Others who have used the service commented under Samantha’s video that their package was better than what they received.

One person said: “You did well. Mine was awful.”

Another added: “Really good swag.”

Most of the items in the bag were freezable, meaning they can be preserved for longer
