I was fined £100 for parking after waiting in line for the CAR WASH for 45 minutes

A MAN has been handed a £100 parking fine for queuing at a carwash – but he refused to pay the ‘unacceptable’ fee.
Ahsan Haji, 33, of East London, was charged after waiting in line for 45 minutes at a BP petrol station car wash.
Ahsan – who insists he doesn’t have to pay – said it was “unacceptable”.
The father of three claimed it took about an hour in line to have his car cleaned on March 19.
And “couldn’t believe it” when he received it fine notice one week later.

He told that Daily Star: “We never parked – we stood in line the whole time.
“There were six or seven cars that would also have been fined.
“I shouldn’t have to pay that, they should be ashamed.”
He was reportedly fined £100 by Euro Car Parks after exceeding the 25-minute limit.
The letter from Euro Car Parks states: “We use cameras to capture images of vehicles entering and exiting the car park in order to calculate their length of stay.
“Your vehicle has been parked longer than the maximum allowed time.
“By staying in the car park without authorization in accordance with the conditions set out in the signage, the parking fee is now payable to Euro Car Parks.”
He appealed the fine the same day he received the letter and is awaiting a response.
Ahsan was with his wife Linda Goslar, 31, and their three sons, ages eight, five and three, when they queued for a clean and polish.
He thinks he doesn’t have to pay the fine because he didn’t park.
Ahsan added: “We were in the car all the time – we never parked.
“We were in line – how can you charge us for parking and call?”
