ONE driver who towed their neighbor’s car while it was on the red line and faced the wrong thing asked online if they did the right thing.

Posting on Reddit, the person asked if they are a “fool” for reporting their neighbor, even though it was incorrectly parked.

The post read: “Someone in my neighborhood parked in front of traffic in the wrong direction and more than 4 meters away from the red-painted curb.

“People say it’s a quiet street and now I feel very bad after calling the rickshaws.

“Ps, the car was parked between 4:5pm and 9pm, am I an idiot?”

The author, lives in the US, where the law states that cars are not allowed to park on roadsides painted red.

The rules read: “Stopping, standing or parking is prohibited. The red areas are usually reserved for ambulances as well as fire hydrants.

“You cannot park in front of or block the fire hydrant. Buses may stop at the red curb if marked OK so the bus stops there.”

Drivers crossing the pond are also not allowed Park on the left side of the road, which is usually the left side in the US.
