A MUM gets a rude note through the door blaming her for the parking error – but she’s not driving.
Deborah Monroe, 28, was branded an “idiot” in a scrawled letter posted to her mailbox.
The messenger threatened to call the police if the car was found there again.
A clumsy driver is said to have parked his car near the entrance of an alley, but Deborah admitted fault despite not owning a car.
The handwritten letter was pasted through her door in Stoke on Trent last month.
It read: “DONT park in the door or will report to the landlord + police it broke the law, idiot.”
The mother of one child shared the note on social media with the aim of embarrassing the person responsible.
Deborah told StokeonTrentLive: ‘Who posted this on my doorstep, I don’t have a car so you’re an idiot.
“Please come retype and get your stupid piece of paper back and talk to people face to face.
“Whose is this, where do you park the car?”
She added: “When I checked the car’s entrance, I guess the note was intended to cover the entrance a bit but not block it.
“It’s too narrow to park there and it’s just for carrying your crate out.
“It’s not a big deal anyway.
“Honestly I think they should have left the note on that person’s car.
“Either that or knock on the door and ask me if it’s my car.
“I don’t drive at the moment so the fact that they’re still posting without exact knowledge shows immaturity.
“It’s a bit too much for an adult and very childish.
“I’m more upset when they assume it’s mine and post such a vile note.”
Deborah said a note had been left on the windshield of the same vehicle about a month earlier.
Disappointed locals after staff and visitors from nearby Royal Stoke University Hospital park on the street.
“A lot of people don’t use their drives when they have them, and we have a business that usually has trucks in front,” Deborah said.
“I’ve seen notes left on cars around here countless times.
“There’s another back alley entrance across the street that’s always blocked by cars because there’s really nowhere else for them to park.
“But they’ve never had a note, and yet this blue car seems to annoy them.”
Deborah said parking is a ‘nightmare’ for local motorists because of so many double yellow lines.
She said: “We also urge people from further away homes that don’t have a parking space in front to try to park here.
“I think the council has covered too much gold on this road.”
