A BASE driver has been left in suspicion after a shocking note warning of her blue badge was reported.
Helen displayed her badge on the windshield at Heaton Park in Manchester before going for a walk to relieve back pain.
The mother, from Bury, Greater Manchester, has had multiple spine surgeries and damaged nerves in her legs, Manchester Evening News report.
But on Sunday, she was shocked to discover a “narrow-minded” passerby had aggressively written her a message in capital letters and left it in her car.
The note reads: “Your BB has been obtained and reported to the box office.”
Helen has since hit back at the “ignorant”, insisting they “didn’t know” what her circumstances were.
She told MEN: “Just because I’m young and not in a wheelchair doesn’t mean I can’t get the blue badge.
“They clearly saw me, saw that I was in my 40s, walking away.
“And I just thought they didn’t know what my situation was like.”
Helen also just lost a friend to cancer and she also has a blue badge.
“What if I were her, and I was here for the last walk, and I came back with this message?” she speaks.
Sunday’s note isn’t the first time Helen has faced her blue badge.
She says people are always staring at her in the Tesco parking lot – and she confronts them when they do.
On one occasion, she said someone asked her if she was using the badge of a deceased relative.
And another time, the mother – whose son is autistic and also had a blue badge – claimed that a man called her af *** ing b *** h when her son was about six age.
She threw the badge back at the man, but on Sunday there was no chance for her to respond to the message.
Helen said anyone who left it was “completely lifeless”.
