One father says he will “never stop looking for his missing daughter” and will find her whatever it takes.

Catrin Maguire was last seen in Anglesey, North Wales on November 15 last year.

The 22-year-old Holyhead university student disappeared, leaving her family desperate for answers about her mysterious disappearance.

Five months since she was last seen, her father Gerry has reaffirmed his commitment to finding Caitlin “whatever it takes.”

He said North WalesLive: “Not knowing is very stressful. It has devastated our family as we have no idea where she is or what happened.

“How can someone just disappear from the face of the earth without a trace? We’re hoping someone saw something, maybe saw Catrin that day and could help us find answers.”

The young woman was a month in her third year at Bangor University, where she was studying health and social care, when she disappeared.

She grew up in Anglesey with her parents Gerry and Wendy and younger brother Ciaran, who were “devastated” by their disappearance.

North Wales Police issued numerous appeals following Catrin’s disappearance, including a CCTV image she released on April 15.

A doorbell camera reportedly took a picture of Catrin walking past the school towards Llaingoch and the last confirmed sighting was at 1.18pm when she was seen walking past the RSPB cafe in South Stack.

North Wales Police Investigation revealed that Catrin had bought a return train ticket from Bangor to Holyhead that morning, arriving in Holyhead at around 11.30am.

Crews from Mon Search and Rescue, Search and Rescue Dogs Wales (SARDA), the Coastguard and RNLI volunteers searched for Catrin over the following days but found no indication of her whereabouts.

Gerry said: “There was a massive air and sea search rescue and volunteers from the RNLI did everything days and weeks afterwards but there is just no sign of her.

“It’s been months now and it’s absolutely devastating for our family, even when we’re celebrating milestones like birthdays or anniversaries, it strikes us that Catrin isn’t here.

“It’s killing me, I can’t get away from it. I don’t know where I am half the time.”

Desperate for any information that might help them understand what happened, Catrin’s family have again appealed to everyone who was in Holyhead on November 15th.

Her father hopes vacationers can lead her to answers.

He said: “Holyhead is a seasonal place with a lot of tourists, so maybe there were people who were staying in trailers or RVs and saw something.

“They may not be from North Wales, but if anyone was visiting the area at the time they might have seen Catrin there. One thing is for sure, we will never stop searching for answers and fighting.”

A NWP spokesman said: “North Wales Police confirm that Catrin remains missing and continue to encourage anyone who found Catrin on the afternoon of the 15th.”

Catrin is about 1.60 m tall, slim built and has long, dark hair.

If you have seen them or have any information please contact North Wales Police on number 101.
