The professional singer ruptured an artery while she was stretching her neck, resulting in The hit.

She told the Manchester Evening News: “I think the stroke happened when I was woken up by my partner the next day after stretching.

“As soon as I woke up, the pain in my ears started – it was a loud, tingling, shrill, tinnitus-like sound. I tried to get up but couldn’t walk or talk and I was in pain. seriously ill.

“Doctors are now saying I had a stroke because I tore the main artery that goes into my brain when I stretched my neck.”

She remembers being on stage and trying to sing, before realizing she had lost control and power in her chords.

The singer had to cancel her reservation after returning home, because she could not perform as before.

Helen has suffered from a stiff neck for many years and has been given stretching exercises by orthopedists at home.

She was doing some of these moves in earnest on November 11th when a sudden pain hit her neck.

Assuming it was the start of a migraine, she took some painkillers but noticed the pain continued the next day.

In preparation for the show, she took a nap, but when her fiancé woke her up an hour later, she found she cannot move or talk.

Helen said: “He woke me up and I couldn’t talk – I was just babbling and couldn’t understand what I was trying to say.

“I was trying to move and couldn’t move my legs. Every time I moved, I turned – from which they told me I was getting dizzy – and I felt this intense pain in my ear. like a rattling sound.

“I could move my left arm fine but my right arm was swaying all over the place uncontrollably and I was very ill for about three hours.”

‘TO SLIDE’

They rushed to A&E where tests showed she had torn main artery neck and had a stroke.

The doctors noted this tear as a dissection of the bilateral vertebral artery.

She is continuing to recover at home, but her voice has been affected and hopefully it will come back strong.
