ULRIKA Jonsson has vowed never to kiss a man on television despite her appearance on E4’s Celebs Go Dating.
The TV presenter, who is famous on ITV’s hit show Gladiators, went on to joke that most of the men on the show “don’t know” who she is.
Ulrika, 54, is looking for love as part of a new series – where she joins a host of other relationship-hunting celebs.
However, despite having arranged dates with men including Geordie Shoe’s Marty McKenna, the star insists she won’t be sharing any snoring acts.
When asked if she’d kiss someone on television, she said exclusively to The Sun Online: “F*** no! F*** that! I’m 54, I wouldn’t kiss someone on TELEVISION.”
The mother-of-four said there wasn’t enough time during filming to “develop any kind of connection,” let alone lock lips on a first date.
As for Ulrika, most of the men she dates on the show are “too young” to know who she is – with some being almost half her age.
“Young guys obviously don’t know who I am,” she said. “It was just really the first guy who thought he knew everything about me.
“There’s really not much flirting from any of them. I’ve been instructed to try and take it easy or at least try and make an effort, but it’s a two-way street.
“I’m ready to flirt, I like to have a good laugh, but I guess no one rocked my socks.”
Ulrika detailed one of her dates – with psychology graduate Jack, 27 – that she felt went smoothly, until their conversation turned to one with the kids.
“Our conversation was really good, but maybe because it was so good we didn’t end up having any kind of flirting,” the TV star added.
“He was constantly talking about how he was going to be a father, and I said, ‘Well, man, I’m 54, that’s not going to happen.’ So I felt that. that’s meaningless.
“I can certainly have a bit of fun for a few days, for a few years or whatever until he wants to settle down. But at 54, I’m not going to make him a man. dad.”
The most recent episode of Celebs Go Dating saw Ulrika sit down with a new interest Jad, who although “really handsome”, was not for her.
“He was pretty boring basically,” she said of the failed date. “I mean he’s really nice and easy on the eyes.”
Earlier this year, Ulrika revealed that she wanted to settle down and find love after revealing she had a “one-night stand”.
“I’m ready to fit in,” she wrote in her column for The Sun. “I had a new-found freedom and with my kids a little older, a sense of independence. It energizes and transports me into a world of meeting, meeting, dating and lovemaking. sex.
“I’m not looking for a relationship. When you’ve been around for a long time, you crave space, time to yourself, lack of commitment, freedom, a life without boundaries and limits. A chance to breathe and spread your wings.
“What I’ve concluded is that sex and fun is… fun. It’s liberating, enjoyable and confidence-boosting.
“But it’s not necessarily where I’m headed next year. I’m mostly done with a brief match and rendezvous. I want more.”
