Iceland superfan makes king prawn wreath for Christmas

An Icelandic superfan has taken her love for a party food to a new level by hanging her own giant celebratory shrimp ring on her door.

Brighton-based artist Yvette Driver meticulously created a recreation of the supermarket’s jumbo prawn ring, featuring 25 ‘prawns’ and a sweet chilli dip tied together with a silky prawn ribbon.

Yvette took to social media to share her new and unusual Christmas decorations and posted a picture of the wreath proudly hanging on her front door.

“I’m so obsessed with the iconic king prawn ring that I decided to make my own oversized version for my front door this Christmas,” said Yvette.

The freezer retailer was so impressed with Yvette’s creation that they shared the shrimp-themed festive decorations on social media to show their followers how much they loved the wreath.

Casper Nelson, Director of Marketing at Iceland Foods, said: “This is one of the best Christmas decorations we have ever seen. We thought nothing could be more iconic than our shrimp ring, but Yvette made it even more iconic.”

Shoppers can purchase their own shrimp ring from Iceland’s Christmas party range at their local shop or online via the supermarket’s website.
