I’m a bartender – why shouldn’t you drink from a glass jerked by rims and other red flags just in case

A NEW Hampshire bartender has shared the key signs you should know when going to a bar.
These red flags can potentially be harmful to your health.
In one videotapes shared on social media, a bartender from the Alamo Texas BBQ and Tequila Bar in New Hampshire shared four red signs you should look out for when ordering your next drink.
SQUEEZING IN GARNISH
The first lady recommends finding bartenders who squeeze garnishes and put them in your drink.
Their hands should never touch anything in your drink as that easily transfers any germs they might bring into your drink, one restaurant expert explain.
The bartender should always wash the trim before slicing, as well as clean the trim container.
Garnishes left over from the day before should be thrown away and never used in drinks.
TOUCH THE TOP OF THE TREE
You should also be on the lookout for the bartender to touch the tip of the straw when placing the straw in your drink.
Since many people have their backs turned and don’t notice their drinks being prepared, you can easily miss even their most obvious signs.
Also, if your bartender breaks most of the basic health rules, chances are they won’t wash their hands either.
Shake hands to eat and drink BY RIM
Next, be careful if the bartender hands your drink by the rim of the glass.
To avoid spreading bacteria, bartenders must give you your glass with their hands wrapped around the glass or on the stem of the wine glass.
This is important to note in both bars and restaurants.
USE GLASS TO SCOOP ICE
Finally, if your bartender is shoveling your glass to shovel ice before delivering it to you, that can also cause problems.
While this may seem like a quick shortcut when it comes to making a drink, it can actually do more harm than good.
If the glass is not washed properly, the glass stuck in the container will quickly contaminate the clean stone.
And if the glass shatters when it hits the ice, it can leave shards of glass in your drink or in the ice for your next drink.
So, if you catch your server doing any of the above while preparing your drink, then… run.
