I’m a celebrity: Seann Walsh wants out of Strictly scandal

Seann Walsh is one of 12 celebrities to step into the Australian jungle on ITV’s I’m A Celeb, but it’s not the first TV series he’s starred in.

In 2018, the comedian took part Be sure to come dance and his time on the show won’t just be remembered for his weekly appearances.

Walsh was pictured kissing Katya Jones, his professional dance partner, while they were both in long-term relationships.

The Strictly sandal, as it’s called, was featured on tonight’s episode of i am a celebrity when Walsh opened up to Coronation Street actress Sue Cleaver.

Discussing his appearance on the front page of newspapers, Cleaver asked him, “Why did that crucify you? Why did that have such an effect?”

He responded by referring to his then-girlfriend, saying, “To be perfectly honest, my ex-girlfriend posted a statement and that was the end of me.”

He said: “I apologized. I sat on (The Jonathan Ross Show) and apologized.

“I sat next to Will.i.am and Samuel L. Jackson and apologized. This will forever be the weirdest moment of my life and I have to say, probably the worst moment of my life.”

After the conversation, cleaver was seen speaking to the Bush Telegraph.

She said: “He’s a very sensitive soul.

“I think he’s really brave and I’m glad he’s here.”

Walsh told the Bush Telegraph: “It’s something in my life that I don’t want to go back to. Of course I knew it was coming.

“They come up here so naturally. I just want to keep going and it’s really nice to have people listening and being so kind and wonderful, but I just want to make it clear that I’m very sorry for what happened and I really want this to be a positive experience it really was like that. I want to get out of here and move on.”
