TIKTOKER shared one of his top tips to increase your chances of passing your driving test.
TheYoungInstructor gave his followers a 30-second quick glance at something simple learner drivers can do at the start of their test.
The instructor has amassed nearly 100k followers and 2.4 million likes thanks to his in-depth videos designed to Increase your learner’s chances of passing.
In his latest video, he says: “The first thing you want to do when you take your driving test is make a good impression.
“When the judges come out, greet them with a smile and upbeat tone and make sure you have temporary license to hand. ”
“This will make the examiner’s life a lot easier at the beginning of the test.
It’s easy to get nervous around the examiner, but try to relax.
He said: “Don’t be friendly with the judges, be friendly with them, they’re only human after all.”
The driving test examiners will ask a “tell me” question before you start driving.
This is where you explain how you safely perform a task, like how you check your headlights or tires.
“You can impress them even more by beating the tell me question at the beginning of the test,” he said.
The Driving School AA also said that relaxing before a test is one of the top tips for getting that pass – here’s another way you can increase your chances.
Prepare and relax
Prepare for your test day just like you would for an exam or other important occasion.
Get a good night’s sleep beforehand and make sure you’ve finished eating.
If you feel your nerves getting better, try some relaxation techniques – deep breathing can work wonders for those last-minute worries.
Practice practice practice
Learn and practice a lot – a good instructor will monitor your progress and show you skills you need to work ready to test.
If possible, you should supplement your lessons with some private practice with a trusted friend or family member.
Know your test
Familiarize yourself with the driving test so you know what to expect during the day.
It’s always helpful if you take a practice test with your driving instructor before you do the real thing.
Check where the test center is and get there on a certain date so you can see how long it will take to get there.
Also, take a look at the surroundings of the test center, this might give you a bit of an idea of the paths you might take.
